PhosAgro says Russian sales rise 12.3% in 2017

MOSCOW, Feb 15 (PRIME) -- Fertilizer producer PhosAgro has raised Russian sales of phosphate fertilizers through its distributor PhosAgro-Region by 12.3% on the year to 2.34 million tonnes in 2017 thanks to growing demand for complex fertilizers with sulfur, and consistent consumption of concentrated mineral fertilizers, it said in a statement on Thursday.

The company quoted CEO Andrei Guryev as saying that the domestic market is still a priority for the company, and that it would continue development of PhosAgro-Region, including development through acquisitions that would allow the company to expand its presence in the regions and to increase reliability of fertilizer supplies.

In 2017, PhosAgro invested about 600 million rubles in development of infrastructure of PhosAgro-Region’s sales network.
